In Progress: Quilt from Baby Clothes

I started this quite a while ago and still have not finished it!!! I keep forgetting to buy a backing fabric... oops.

I started with this:
And here's what I've got now:
Not sure what I'll do with it once it's finished, since Hannah's no longer a baby. Maybe add hanging tabs to the back and hang it on her wall?

Oh my goodness this is turning out wonderful! What a great idea for a hanging.
You could start a hope chest and put this in for her first gift to save.

Did you just do 6" squares of each of the items of clothing? Did you adhere some non-stretchy (really technical word, I know!) to the stretchy clothing? I have LOTS of baby cloths just waiting to have this done!

I only saved my daughter's 0-3 months clothes, so my squares were about 4 and a quarter inches. The outside border squares are 2 and a half inches. I didn't add anything to the back of the clothes. I wish that I had because it was REALLY HARD to keep my squares lined up. Then for that applique piece, there is more than one. She had some clothes I thought were so cute and adorable but the appliques were on the very bottom of the pant legs, so I just cut around those and added them to the bigger parts of the clothes (for instance I cut a square out of the butt and added the applique from the leg to that). I hope that helps!!
